East Stroudsburg University’s sport management department inducted 13 students, five undergraduate and eight graduate students, into the 2022 Chi Sigma Mu Student Honor Society in Sport Management. The COSMA (Commission on Sport Management Accreditation) Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society represents the best students that COSMA-accredited programs have to offer. ESU sport management faculty nominated these students for their academic excellence (minimum 3.4 GPA for undergraduates and 3.6 GPA for graduates), extra-curricular activities and engagement, and community service. There are 33 colleges that have COSMA-accredited sport management academic programs and 67 sport management students were inducted to Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society in 2022.
The new student inductees of Chi Sigma Mu for 2022 are: five undergraduate students majoring in sport management – Rece Bender from Lancaster, Pa.; Daryn Blackwell from Toms River, N.J.; Da’Shawn Murphy from East Cleveland, Ohio; Payton Kovac from Jim Thorpe, Pa.; and Jackson Sindaco from Canadensis, Pa.; five graduate students majoring in sport management – Brandon Brzenski from Peckville, Pa.; Christie Buyer from Keene, N.H.; Sadie Cresswell from Pottsville, Pa.; Stephanie Del Preore from Budd Lake, N.J.; and Kimberly Rauch from Bath, Pa.; three graduate students majoring in management and leadership with sport management concentration – Amber Neumann from Brick, N.J.; Michael Osayi from Middletown, Pa.; and Noah Strone from Succasunna, N.J.
